Cross-platform iOS & Android fitness app with workout planning, activity tracking, progress analytics, and wearable device integrations.
The fitness app space is brutally competitive. Most apps get downloaded, opened twice, and forgotten. The challenge wasn't building features — it was building habits. The app needed to fit naturally into a user's daily routine rather than demanding attention.
Technical demands were also significant: cross-platform parity across iOS and Android, reliable sync with wearable devices, and a progress analytics layer that actually motivates users rather than overwhelming them. Everything had to work smoothly in the background while feeling effortless in the foreground.
We built FitTrack as a cross-platform React Native application, focusing first on the daily core loop: log a workout, see progress, get a reminder. Every feature that made it into the app passed a simple test — does a regular user actually need this on a Tuesday morning?
The workout library and planning system let users set up routines without friction. Activity tracking pulls from wearable integrations so data accumulates without manual input. Progress analytics surfaces meaningful trends — not raw numbers — and push notifications are smart enough to encourage without becoming noise.
