The Lighthouse, a Nigerian humanitarian community founded in 2013, was managing charity initiatives manually — tracking donations, project progress, and beneficiary impact through disconnected spreadsheets and phone calls. Donors had no visibility into where their contributions were going or what impact they were making in real time.
The organisation needed a mobile-first platform that could handle live donations, display active charity projects, and give both donors and administrators a clear, trustworthy view of community impact — across health, sanitation, education, and food support for children, women, seniors, and orphans in Nigeria.
We built the mobile apps for both Android and iOS, with a focus on clarity and donor confidence. The donation flow was designed to be frictionless — donors can browse active charity projects, see real-time funding progress, and contribute in just a few taps with secure payment processing.
Each charity project has its own dedicated page showing goals, funding progress, impact metrics, and beneficiary stories — giving donors the transparency that builds long-term trust and repeat giving. The web administration portal, built on Laravel, allows the Lighthouse team to create and manage projects, post updates, track donation totals, and generate reports without any technical knowledge.
